Ranking the top 10 seniors in the 2020 NFL Draft. Who takes the top spot?
When discussing draft classes as a whole, and when you look at big boards, they are often dominated by underclassmen who declare early. The top talent in most draft classes come from juniors. This year, in the 2020 NFL Draft class, there are still plenty of juniors at the top. Lead by players like Chase Young, Jerry Jeudy, Andrew Thomas, and more, the number of underclassmen that declare goes up every year.
It makes sense that juniors would dominate draft discussion, because when you’re talented enough, why risk injury coming back for your senior season when you can make good money in the NFL? This fact makes it difficult for a senior class to be loaded with talent. Of course there are always seniors who go round one, but underclassmen usually dominate there.
For the 2020 NFL Draft, though, I would channel a little Lee Corso and say, “Not so fast”. The senior class this year is among the most talented group in quite some time. The buzz surrounding the Senior Bowl is crazy with it still being eight weeks out, but when you look at the senior group, it makes sense. Led by a pair of very good quarterbacks, a great group of defensive linemen, and top corners, this senior class could be one that is talked about years from now.
So, with all of that hyping up of the senior class, let’s take a look at the top 10 seniors in the 2020 NFL Draft class.
