What five 2020 NFL Draft prospects should we pay attention to when Oklahoma plays TCU?

The Oklahoma Sooners and TCU Horned Frogs are both coming off wins last weekend. The Sooners pulled off an incredible come-from-behind victory against Baylor, while TCU held off Texas Tech 33-31.

This week, they face off in a primetime clash in which there will be plenty of 2020 NFL Draft prospects to watch.

Here we aren’t going to go over the elite prospects. Everyone’s eyes will be on CeeDee Lamb this week, if he plays, to see what amazing performance he can put on next.

Neville Gallimore and Creed Humphrey are also viewed as elite prospects who will be closely monitored. Let’s take a look at other prospects in this game who could contribute in 2020.

Jeff Gladney, CB, TCU

The NFL is always looking for corners who can make a difference in the pass-happy NFL. It’s perhaps the toughest position to play in the NFL. The top corner in this matchup is TCU’s Jeff Gladney. At 6’0″ and 185 pounds, Gladney isn’t the biggest corner in the draft, but as we’ve seen, height isn’t the defining trait for corners. He has very good footwork for the position and can mirror receivers well in the short area. Gladney also has great ball skills as his 12 passes defended in 2019 show.

He will face probably his toughest test of the season this week. If Lamb does play, he will pose Gladney huge problems. Lamb has excellent body control, impressive athleticism, and the ability to make big plays happen after the catch. If Gladney can hang with Lamb, then his stock will see a considerable boost.

If Lamb doesn’t play, Charleston Rambo is another name for the Sooners who is a big-play threat in the passing game. Gladney will have to deal with Rambo’s straight-line speed down the field if he lines up against him.
