Scouting Report

He has started only seven games, but has taken the Boise State offense to a new level and even beat out the likes of Sam Howell and Bo Nix to make the list. While he still has a way to go before being considered a top quarterback prospect in the NFL, Bachmeier certainly has shown strides and flashed elite traits for the Broncos in 2019.

On the year, Bachmeier has thrown for 1,760 yards passing, with nine touchdown strikes and only four interceptions in seven games. The true freshman gunslinger has completed nearly 64 percent of his passes for Boise State this season as well.

Bachmeier has shown great pocket presence to hang in there until the last second and to deliver a strike even while taking a hit to the chin. This trait of pocket presence is shown in the clip below as he throws a dart on the money across the middle while taking a beating in the pocket.

The true freshman still has two years to strengthen his game and put together solid tape while at Boise State, but is off to a promising start to his young collegiate career. Keep an eye on Hank Bachmeier over the next two years as he continues to tear up the blue turf in Boise, Idaho.
