Scouting Report

They do not make players like Evan Neal, Alabama’s freshman left guard, very often as he is one massive individual. At a whopping 6-7 and 330 pounds, Neal has started every game for the Crimson Tide this year and lands in the top five of the list of the most promising true freshmen here.

Neal has been tabbed as a midseason All-American, and looks like a starting prospect in the NFL. Again his weight could be viewed as too heavy, but Alabama’s strength and conditioning program is no joke; he has two more years to perfect his craft and body, by the time we reach the 2022 NFL Draft, we probably will not be having these discussions.

He obviously has the size and strength to display great anchor strength, but it would be great to see his footwork take a massive step forward (no pun intended) over the next two seasons.

Bama has two tackles who are likely to be first rounders this year after having Jonah Williams go in the first round in the 2019 NFL Draft. Taking a wild guess, it would be a good guess that by the time the 2022 NFL Draft arrives in a little over two years.
