Scouting Report. QB. Jalen Hurts. 4. Pick Analysis. Oklahoma. player. 815

Last week vs. TCU: 11-for-21 (52.4%)| 145 yards| 2 TD| 1 INT| 28 rushes| 173 yards| 2 TD

Season Stats: 192-for-269 (71.4%)| 3,184 yards| 30 TD| 6 INT| 180 rushes| 1,156 yards| 17 TD

The month of November has not been very kind to Jalen Hurts. In fact, he was ranked second in these rankings less than a month ago with a real shot at winning the award. While his stats have still been solid and the Sooners are winning, Hurts has not been as good the past few games.

Oklahoma has been very lucky to escape with wins in each of their last three games. Hurts had multiple key turnovers in those games that allowed those games to be closer than they probably should have. Against TCU, for example, he had a bad pick-six and fumbled in key moments. He was still able to lead his team to victory however with four total touchdowns in the game.

Despite the past few games, Hurts’ body of work for the season is still very impressive. He has joined an exclusive club of college quarterbacks who have passed for over 3,000 yards and rushed for over 1,000 yards in a season. Not to mention the fact that he leads the nation in total touchdowns this season with 47.

Hurts has a couple of more opportunities to get back to his excellent all-around play from earlier in the season and improve his standings in the race for the Heisman Trophy. That starts this weekend when he will face off against fellow Heisman hopeful Chuba Hubbard and the 21st-ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys.
