Hill’s agility and instincts

First looking at Kylin Hill’s footwork, instincts, he has great footwork that is on par with some of the best in the 2020 NFL Draft class. Hill displays a great jump cut both behind the line of scrimmage, and in the open field in order to make a man miss; his open field agility may be one of Hill’s more underrated traits.

Hill will breakout a rare spin move every once in a while to create more yardage in space, putting his fancy footwork on full display. For a 215 pound back, the Bulldog has shown to be quite the agile running back for Mississippi State.

In the clip above, Hill is immediately swarmed by defenders in the backfield. He is able to hit the defender with a quick jumpcut and gets to the edge. His athletic and agile ability does not stop there as he gives an electric last second hurdle to create an extra couple of yards on the ground.

Not only does Hill show the ability to be electric with the ball in his hand, but he has also shown great vision once holes develop, but this comes with a caveat to his game. We discuss his vision, decisiveness, and patience next.
