Wrapping up Hill’s scouting report

Kylin Hill is as close to a complete back as it comes in the upcoming 2020 NFL Draft. While he is not graded as high as the tier one backs of Georgia’s D’Andre Swift (scouting report found here), Dobbins, or Clemson’s Travis Etienne, Hill has proven him to be a top five back in the draft.

Size, speed, agility, vision, and strength, Hill has all of the potential to be a three down bellcow at the next level if he is given the chance. While he is not asked to catch the ball out of the backfield often, this should not be perceived as a weakness as he does it well when his number is called upon. Here is a fun clip to wrap this scouting report up as he puts all of the following traits on display.

Starting the run with great vision and burst to hit the hole, Hill then plants his foot in the ground to create a few years, spins out of contact, changes direction, then ends the run with a great showing of athletic ability by hurdling the next defender. Hill is a well-rounded and fun prospect that, while may be buried in the middle tier of this running back class in the 2020 NFL Draft, could pay off big dividends for the team that selects him.
