Oklahoma football has become a factory for wide receiver talent and CeeDee Lamb may be the next as he is rumored to be declaring for the 2020 NFL Draft.

While it has been practically assumed that Oklahoma football standout wide receiver CeeDee Lamb would not be returning to the Sooners for his senior season, it has been a bit further confirmed as Pro Football Network’s Tony Pauline has been hearing rumblings that he will declare for the 2020 NFL Draft. Right now Lamb is the second rated wide receiver on this writer’s board, behind only Alabama’s Jerry Jeudy.

Even playing behind first round pick and rookie Marquise Brown of the Baltimore Ravens, Lamb managed to make big plays for Kyler Murray a year ago. Lamb finished his sophomore season in 2018 with nearly 1,200 yards receiving and 11 touchdown for the Oklahoma football program.

With Brown out of the picture, Lamb is on pace to pass his yardage marker from a year ago, despite missing some time with an injury. Through ten games in 2019, the 6-2 and 192 pound junior receiver has recorded 999 yards and 14 scores from Heisman candidate Jalen Hurts; Lamb has caught 46 passes on the season.

Lamb is also a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award, which goes to the country’s best wide receiver. It would be a complete shock to see Lamb fall out of the top 15 of the 2020 NFL Draft as it stands today, but crazier things have happened.

With the Oklahoma football program barely hanging on to their College Football Playoff hopes, expect them to ride their star wide receiver the rest of the way. Lamb will be a fun prospect to keep track of throughout the next few months leading up to the draft and throughout his professional career.
