Scouting Report. Round 3. Pick 83. Calvin Throckmorton. 54. Pick Analysis. player. 820

Throckmorton is a versatile prospect that the Ducks rely on to play multiple positions on the line. He’s played guard, center, and right tackle throughout his Oregon career. The versatility pays off here as the Titans do need some depth on the line as starting right tackle Jack Conklin has shown some decline coming off an ACL tear and to scheme change. Conkling had his fifth-year option not picked up.

Throckmorton has played center in spurts this season as starter Jake Hanson has battled injuries, namely in the loss to Arizona State. It wasn’t the primary reason that Oregon lost to the Sun Devils but Throckmorton’s snaps were a bit casual and threw off the timing of the Ducks’ offense.

He can be the 2020 version of Corey Levin for Titans fans and swing tackle turned touchdown catching specialist Dennis Kelly is an impending free agent so who knows if he’ll be brought back. Starting center Ben Jones just signed a long term extension this past offseason but more depth couldn’t hurt as the Titans are woefully thin in that department.

With their third round pick, the Titans address their offensive line with the selection of the Oregon Duck Calvin Throckmorton.
