2020 Mock Draft: Franchise QB on the horizon for the Titans?
By Joseph Yun
7.206 Harrison Bryant 6’5 225 TE Florida Atlantic Senior
The Titans reach into South Florida for another heir apparent to star veteran tight end Delanie Walker with Bryant. Walker has been injured for most of this season and is slowing down some after a long career so it’s natural for the Titans to look for a replacement down the road.
Current starter Jonnu Smith hasn’t impressed as the heir to Walker’s throne outside of a few games so another option might be considered in Nashville as the other tight ends on the roster are considered non-receiving threats. Bryant and Smith can swap South Florida stories!
Bryant isn’t considered the most talented blocker in the world but is a pretty solid receiving option for Lane Kiffin’s FAU Owls. He’s been a productive four year starter for the program. A magnet for the teams that love physical attributes and a Mackey Award contender.
He’s really a Devin Funchess type so there’s that. Funchess carved out a pretty decent role in Indianapolis and Carolina before getting hurt this season. Not much more you can ask out of a seventh-round pick.
With the age of Delanie Walker and uncertainty as to whether or not Jonnu Smith can be the tight end of the future, the Titans add another one here.
