Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm a top prospect in 2020 NFL Draft

Physical Tools
Jake Fromm is currently listed at 6’2″ and 220 pounds on the official Georgia athletic program website; these numbers do not jump out to most, and they should not. Fromm is not a quarterback that is mobile as many other recent short-statured individuals for the position have been.
However, his playstyle does not require him to be extremely mobile. At the combine, do not expect Jake Fromm to post insane numbers, because it will not happen. Physically, Fromm is average which should not affect his draft grade very much because there are examples of quarterbacks with limited physical tools (not arm talent) and with similar stature that has succeed in the NFL at the highest level, one of those being Aaron Rodgers.

The major concern in this category for scouts would be the size of Fromm’s hands. In the game against Texas A&M this season, Fromm struggled in the inclement weather to throw the ball accurately.
While he does not have the physical stature of Oregon’s Justin Herbert, or the athletic ability of Oklahoma’s Jalen Hurts, Fromm does not need to have these physical traits to play his style of football. Next we will look at Fromm’s arm talent.
