Florida and Florida State are all set for the Sunshine State Showdown tonight, featuring a handful of 2020 NFL Draft prospects. The Seminoles and Gators once again lock horns to do battle for bragging rights in the Sunshine State (7:30 PM ET SEC Network). Florida State is 6-5, having fired former coach Willie Taggart and getting to bowl eligibility while the Gators are ranked 11th in the playoff ranking with a 9-2 record. There are plenty of 2020 NFL Draft prospects to keep an eye on.

Can the proud Seminoles program upset Florida and end the season on a high note after slogging through an inconsistent 2019? Florida State’s interim head coach Odell Haggins will put his undefeated record on the line.

As mentioned earlier, Florida is ranked eleventh in the playoff ranking and has locked down second place in the SEC East (thanks to a head to head win over rival Tennessee), regardless of today’s outcome. They await their bowl destination, which will be announced on Selection Sunday.

This rivalry has been marked by long winning streaks by either program in this century. Florida will look to continue to build upon their win from last season. Florida State has largely dominated the rivalry in this decade by winning seven of the nine contests. Florida did win seven of the possible ten in the previous decade.
