AJ Terrell, Cornerback, Clemson

He may not be my “CB1”, but he is my favorite corner in the class. The 2020 cornerback class has the juice to be one of the best we have seen in recent history. Terrell has the tangibles that the NFL looks for: size, speed, length, and he isn’t afraid to make a play against the run.

Terrell has the skill the play in just about every scheme imaginable. He can play off-coverage, press, man, and zone; just put him on the field and he’ll find a way to win. He shows great patience at the line-of-scrimmage (LOS) and he can click-and-close with the best of them when in off coverage. It would not be a surprise if the NFL is higher on him than most of the evaluators in the media because of his aggressive nature.

The match-up between Bryan Edwards and AJ Terrell may be the most intriguing battle between two players on Saturday.

K’Von Wallace, Safety, Clemson

Alike, Terrell, K’Von Wallace is my favorite player at his position (Safety); and no, I’m not a Clemson fan. Wallace can do just about everything you look for in a safety: he has the range to play single high, the thick build to play in the box and the smoothness in his lower half to play man coverage in the slot.

At times, Wallace can rely too much on his athletic traits and let his technique fall to the wayside. At the next level, he won’t be able to get away with as much against NFL talent and will need to clean that aspect of his game. Nonetheless, Wallace is still a phenomenal safety prospect who has a good chance of raising his stock at the Senior Bowl in a rather weak safety class.
