Utah State’s Jordan Love is a quarterback with flaws, but his physical talents could propel him into the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

First and foremost, an NFL quarterback has to have an arm that can make NFL throws. That is one area where there aren’t concerns with Love. He has an effortless delivery and the ball sails off his hands. The natural arm talent mixed with is inconsistent ball placement is what makes Jordan Love a tricky 2020 NFL Draft evaluation.

In 2018, he made a number of these kinds of throws and put up some big numbers. He completed 64% of his passes for over 3,500 yards and 32 touchdowns. He threw just six interceptions. The combination of those numbers, with some solid tape and a great arm had people talking about him as a potential top ten pick.

Here, Love displays a nice release, and the ball gets down the field to his receiver in a hurry. The pass was incomplete, but not because of anything that Love did. With minimal effort Love smoothly delivers a strike 30 yards down the field.

Clearly, Love has the arm to play in on Sundays. So what happened? Why was there a large dropoff from 2018 to 2019?
