Scouting Report. Jonathan Taylor. 809. Pick Analysis. RB. Wisconsin. 5. player

Last week at (8) Minnesota: 18 att.| 76 yards| 4.2 ypa| 2 TD| 16 Long| 2 receptions| 39 yards| 1 TD

Season Stats: 279 att.| 1,761 yards| 6.3 ypa| 20 TD| 72 Long| 22 receptions| 201 yards| 5 TD

Jonathan Taylor was surprisingly not as big a part of the Badgers gameplan versus Minnesota as expected in the cold and snowy conditions. He only notched 18 carries for 76 yards but did account for three total touchdowns in the game. That brought his season total to an impressive 1,761 rushing yards and 20 rushing touchdowns.

Those numbers put him in the Top Five nationally in both those statistical categories. But it doesn’t just stop there. Taylor had by far his most prolific season as a receiver out of the backfield for the Badgers. He set careers with 22 receptions, 201 yards, and five touchdowns. In fact, when you take into consideration his receiving touchdowns, he accounted for 25 total touchdowns.

That is good for 40th most in the country while also leading all non-quarterbacks in that stat. Really the only thing holding Taylor back from being at least a few spots higher on this list was the big clunker of a game he had against Ohio State when his team needed him the most.

Taylor will look to avenge that performance when the Badgers take on the number one-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes in the Big Ten Championship on Saturday. He could solidify his invitation to New York if he can put together a much stronger performance against the Buckeyes this time around and at least keep his team in the game.
