Wisconsin’s Zack Baun has burst onto the scene this year and has put himself in contention to be selected in the top half of the 2020 NFL Draft.
This year’s group of pass rushers is a good one, starting with Ohio State’s Chase Young, LSU’s K’Lavon Chaisson, Iowa’s A.J. Epenesa, all the way to small school standouts like Charlotte’s Alex Highsmith. There are a great number of prospects in the middle rounds to take a look at in the 2020 NFL Draft, and among them is Wisconsin’s Zach Baun.
The Wisconsin senior has shown immense progress from 2018 to this year, and has now put himself in position to hear his name called as early as day-two of the 2020 NFL Draft. As the Wisconsin Badgers look for revenge against the Ohio State Buckeyes this weekend in the Big Ten Championship game, Baun will lead their defense off the edge in an attempt to slow down Justin Fields, J.K. Dobbins and company.
We will take a deep dive into Wisconsin’s leader in sacks here and discuss how his game could translate to the next level. Not to provide any spoilers, but he could prove to be a versatile asset for some lucky NFL team that selects him. Enjoy this scouting report on 2020 NFL Draft prospect Zach Baun.
