The season is over for the New York Jets, and it is time to look ahead to the 2020 NFL Draft for fans of the Gang Green. Wipe your tears here.

The New York Jets are a complete dumpster fire right now, and unfortunately we cannot draft a new head coach as Adam Gase needs to be fired as soon as possible. However, with eight picks, including four in the first three rounds, the Jets have the ability to put a dent in some of the holes in their roster in the 2020 NFL Draft.

The Jets find themselves in a peculiar position: they have their franchise quarterback in Sam Darnold, $62 million in cap space heading into next offseason, but are also missing some key cornerstone positions at cornerback, offensive tackle, and edge rusher. Tremaine Johnson has been cast off in the Big Apple despite his massive contract, and the Jets have nobody capable of protecting Darnold.

The Gang Green have always been big spenders in the offseason, and it could be assumed that another big contract will be acquired in 2020 after landing Le’Veon Bell and C.J. Mosley a year ago. This gives the Jets the opportunity to really nail down top tier talent in the first three rounds of the upcoming draft.

Here is a December edition of a mock draft for the Jets as they look dead in the water after losing to the winless Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. Full steam ahead to the 2020 NFL Draft!
