Unlocking Okudah’s potential

There aren’t many holes in Okudah’s game which is why he is the prospect that he is at this point. He’s excellent at the line of scrimmage but you ideally would like to see him use his length there more to reroute receivers.

His excellence at this point alludes to his scary potential to be dominant in this area once he develops using his length by stabbing receivers early to further dictate the tempo in press man. He has reps on tape where he stabs really well to reroute but he doesn’t use that technique as often as he should with the length that he has.

His feet are picture perfect but ideally you’d like to see him shoot his hand earlier in the route to disrupt the receiver at the line. If he shoots the hand earlier is in a better position because he closes the route of that much sooner and now probably turns this throw into an interception.

The fact that we have to nitpick his game at this point furthers the notion of how special he truly is. Unlocking that potential comes from adding something ever so slight into his arsenal as opposed to him having a weakness that you would like to see him do less of.
