Scouting Report

And then there were two. Thus far in this writer’s evaluations, only two wide receivers have been given first round grades, and one of them is Oklahoma wide receiver CeeDee Lamb. The Oklahoma receiver has yet to declare for the 2020 NFL Draft, but he also has at least two more college games left in his career (maybe more if the Sooners can manage to sneak into the College Football Playoffs).

Lamb has produced at an elite level for the Sooners over the past two years, and seems like a no-brainer to leave school early and enter the draft. Last year, while sharing the field with eventual first round pick Marquise Brown, Lamb managed to tally nearly 1,200 yards receiving, 11 touchdowns, and 65 catches.

Dealing with some injuries in 2019, Lamb has missed a game for the Sooners this year, and has still managed to post a statline of 1,035 yards receiving and 14 touchdowns on 50 catches. Lamb is averaging nearly 21 yards per catch this year, as he has proven to be a big play receiver both underneath and down the field with spectacular ability after the catch.

Elite body control, great agility, and strong hands are just a part of the story on Lamb. He’ll be a first round pick in April and make a strong contribution right away.
