Scouting Report

The third of the Crimson Tide trio sits atop this writer’s wide receiver rankings right now as Jerry Jeudy joins his teammates Smith and Ruggs III. With a high first round grade, Jeudy sits as the second best player on this writer’s big board, behind only Ohio State’s pass rusher and Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year Chase Young.

There may not be a more elusive player in the country than Jeudy as he has elite agility to put his foot in the ground and change direction without losing any steam. This footwork comes in handy as he excels as a route runner, stemming his routes well and flipping the hips of opposing defensive backs. Just get the ball to Jeudy and watch him go to work.

Next. Gross-Matos declares and stakes claim as first rounder. dark

After tallying over 1,300 yards and 14 touchdowns on 68 catches a year ago, Jeudy has followed that season up with a statline of 959 yards receiving and nine touchdowns on 71 catches in 2019. Splitting touches with two other top receiving prospects in this year’s draft class, this is quite the impressive stuffing of the box score.

The 6-1 and 192 pound Jeudy is going to be a star at the next level and tops this list of 2020 NFL Draft receivers.
