This Wednesday, we bring you a mock draft of the 2020 NFL Draft. This time, however, there is a twist! No quarterbacks allowed.

How crazy would it be if quarterbacks were not allowed to be selected in the first round of the NFL Draft? In this scenario, the NFL and Roger Goodell have created a new rule that prohibits teams from selecting quarterbacks in the first round in order to increase competition for other desired positions and urge teams to protect future franchise quarterbacks. The results may surprise you.

1. Cincinnati Bengals – Andrew Thomas, OT Georgia

I spent a good deal of time on this pick, wondering if Chase Young should be the pick here. Ultimately, the offensive line of the Bengals needs much more help and a strong presence for the future, Andrew Thomas is that guy.

2. New York Giants – Chase Young, EDGE Ohio State

Do you want a long athletic pass rusher with crazy production at the highest level in college football? So do the Giants, and they now have an extremely talented center piece in Chase Young.

3. Washington Redskins – Tristan Wirfs, OT Iowa

Offensive line play for the Redskins has been abysmal. Wirfs is arguably the best tackle prospect in this draft and should be the pick.

4. Miami Dolphins – Derrick Brown, IDL Auburn

Giving them back to back interior linemen might be a bad move to some, but when your NFL comparison is a grizzly bear, you can’t pass up the opportunity here. Brown is my number two overall prospect and will be a force in the NFL.

5. Atlanta Falcons – AJ Epenesa, EDGE Iowa

The second Iowa player taken off the board is one that is powerful and a tone setter on the edge, the Falcons fill a big need with this pick.
