Oakland Raiders

It was tough not to look at Jon Gruden staring into the abyss as Derek Carr floundered in another cold-weather game in Kansas City and not think the Raiders head coach may just have seen enough of his starting quarterback.

The Raiders have a need at receiver and just about every spot on the defense but, as they prepare to head to Las Vegas, they may well be tempted to use one of their two first-round picks to make Tagovailoa the face of the franchise.

Should he make a full recovery as expected, Tagovailoa has a much higher upside than Carr and, though general manager Mike Mayock may be focused on filling the more pressing holes on the roster, the prospect of landing a quarterback as talented as Tagovailoa could be too enticing for Gruden to pass up.
