Utah also has a loaded secondary to go along with a stout front seven.

23 Julian Blackmon 6’1 187 S Senior

Blackmon transitioned to safety from corner this season and he has lost very little. He has the length that NFL teams crave in DBs. Ball skills are a plus. He needs more functional strength as he is easily erased from the run game when going downhill. The corner skills are really evident on tape. Blackmon has accepted his Senior Bowl invitation.

1 Jaylen Johnson 6’0 190 CB Junior

Johnson is an impressive physical cornerback prospect. Tackling is on point. Ball skills are great as well. He’s one of the better corners in the conference. Do not test this man in coverage. NFL teams will love his frame. He plays well in Utah’s defensive scheme. A good press man but can play off-ball just as well. Undecided on a draft declaration as of press time.

26 Terrell Burgess 6’0 188 S Senior

The underrated piece of Utah’s loaded secondary. He has been the starting strong safety for them this season and has played well enough to earn a Senior Bowl invitation despite starting only one season. Has played a ton since 2016. More of in the box type so he needs to prove it in one on ones in Mobile.
