The 2020 NFL Draft is loaded with running back talent, and many of the top ten could go on day two of the selection process.
The NFL has evolved, and that’s proven to be bad news for the running back position. As more and more teams go to a running back by committee system, the days of ball carriers being selected in the top five are largely gone. Even the first round is stretch for most. NFL teams just aren’t looking to use a premium draft pick there anymore.
Just because the NFL doesn’t value the position anymore doesn’t mean there aren’t amazing players set to be available in the draft. The upcoming class has a number of very intriguing talents that teams would love to have. It’s just a matter of how much they want them and what value they are willing to give up to nab them.
There are no Saquon Barkleys or Ezekiel Elliotts in this group. However, there are plenty of guys worthy of day two selections. They will be ready to step in immediately and help teams.
