In Summary…

There is a lot to like about his game that makes him an easy projection because he provides scheme versatility. Terrell has everything he needs to be a special player in his own right, as he is a very smooth and athletic corner who has the length to be a dominant player week in and week out at the next level.

Terrell has the tools right now to be a plug and play press-man corner, who can give receivers fits due to his patience and length. Not only can Terrell play well in man, but he can easily play in a heavy cover 3 scheme due to good overall athleticism to carry routes, and the mental processing needed to leverage routes as a deep zone corner.

Terrell has the makings of an elite cornerback in the National Football League if he continues to progress at the rate he is at now. Quietly being mentioned as a first round prospect, expect his stock to soar with all eyes on him on the big stage. A.J. Terrell is the second best cornerback in what is a very deep class and he should hear his name called in the first 15 picks come April and the 2020 NFL Draft.
