Jordan Love is an intriguing prospect and as of today, December 10th, the officially announced he’ll be entering the 2020 NFL Draft.

There has been a ton of speculation surrounding Jordan Love and whether or not he would declare for the 2020 NFL Draft. There were rumors floating around that he may perhaps enter the transfer portal; looking at schools like Texas Tech, Oklahoma, and Houston. However, he took to Twitter today to announce his declaration.

Love will now join a top-heavy quarterback class: Joe Burrow, Justin Herbert, and Tua Tugovailoa – if he decides to declare. He possesses a rare arm-talent that you don’t see every day and his ability to make plays off schedule is perhaps his best trait; he is able to sling the rock with ease despite not having his feet set.

He is currently one of the more polarizing prospects in the draft because he holds all the talent in the world, but playing for Utah State the talent is underwhelming. Questions have been raised whether or not he will be able to find success at the NFL level after playing for a Group of 5 school as opposed to a Power 5.

His production has been up and down all year will several great games — Wake Forest (despite a few interceptions, he look good) Fresno State and Stony Brook — but he has had an equal amount of bad games: LSU, BYU, and Nevada where he completed less than 45% of his throws.

In his announcement, he stated that he will be suiting up for the Aggies one more time in their bowl game — Frisco Bowl — against Kent State. You can bet all the lights will be on Love in this game and whether or not he can perform up to the standards that most have set on him. Love is not a senior, but he will be receiving his undergrad degree, giving him an opportunity to receive a Senior Bowl invite, giving him a chance to raise his stock even more.

Where he will be drafted is still up in the air, he has the talent to go in the top 10, but his poor decision making could see him fall to the latter half of the first-round, or perhaps the early second, nonetheless, Love is an extremely talented prospect with uber amounts of potential. The 2020 quarterback class just got a lot more interesting.
