Lions fans rejoice as the team finally picks a talented edge rusher! This is a massive need for Detroit, as the secondary has frequently been left out to dry by an anemic pass rush in 2019.

A 6’5″, 252-pound athletic freak, Terrell Lewis is a pass rusher with the traits NFL teams so desperately desire. Unfortunately, he has not gotten a chance to show off his gifts as often as he would like during his time at Alabama.

Prior to the 2018 season, Lewis suffered a season-ending knee injury. This came on the heels of an arm injury that cost him 10 games in 2017 and officially gave him the dreaded label of “injury-prone”.

The redshirt junior showed toughness and resilience by fighting his way back from his knee injury to play in the season opener. Lewis has not missed a game in 2019, giving NFL teams some assurance that his body can hold up for an entire campaign.

Lewis has all the tools to be a double-digit sack artist: speed, bend, and an arsenal of moves to get to the quarterback. His only drawback as a prospect is his fairly lengthy injury history, which is the reason he can be snagged as a second-round value.
