player. 48. . CB. Alabama. Trevon Diggs. 16. Pick Analysis

There are several ways the Buccaneers could go in this draft. The value isn’t here for a quarterback, so they go to the other side of the ball. They are 31st in the league in passing yards surrendered, and in the bottom half in interceptions forced too. Cornerback is a natural fit at this spot.

Trevon Diggs is a big, physical corner who has enough athleticism and speed to become a lock-down defender as a pro. He had three interceptions this season, one of which he returned for a score. This is the midway point of this mock draft.

Alabama. 17. player. 53. . Pick Analysis. OT. Alex Leatherwood

The Cleveland Browns were supposed to be contenders this season. It hasn’t panned out, and the play of the offensive line is a big part of that. Upgrading that unit is an absolute must this offseason, and they could use more than one player on that line.

It’s a little bit of a reach to take Alex Leatherwood here, but the importance of the position pushes him up the board. With quick feet and good strength, he has tremendous upside, and could play on either side of the line.

Tee Higgins. 18. WR. Clemson. player. 28. . Pick Analysis

Derek Carr hasn’t been able to become the quarterback fans wanted, and so the Raiders have to either replace him, or give him more help. His receivers have been pedestrian, and another weapon on the outside could allow him to get back to the MVP-type season he was having before injury a few years ago.

He’s not a blazing fast runner, but Tee Higgins is a big, strong pass catcher with great hands and an ability to get the ball wherever it’s at. He’s dangerous in the red zone, and has recorded 25 touchdowns over the past two seasons.
