Several big-name 2020 NFL Draft prospects accept Senior Bowl invites
By Seth Steere
Jim Nagy, director of the Senior Bowl, announced several big-name 2020 NFL Draft prospects that have accepted their invites.
Each year the Senior Bowl seems to be growing in popularity; it has always been a place where players can go to increase their chances of being selected higher in the draft if they can go and perform against the best-of-the-best.
Some of the smaller school guys get an opportunity to showcase their talents against similar competition, while others may already have the first-round hype behind them, they get a chance to sneak up few picks – each pick becomes more and more important as rookie contracts are increasing and could a difference of several million dollars.
This year we have already seen multiple high-level prospects accept their Senior Bowl invites: Brandon Aiyuk, Javon Kinlaw, and Ashtyn Davis, to name a few. At this point in the draft process, Javon Kinlaw appears to be a lock for the first round, but with a positive play at the Senior Bowl, there is a good chance he could be selected somewhere in the top half. We have watched players like Terry McLaurin and Rock Ya-Sin (last year) increase their stock tremendously, but who will those players be this year?
Here are some of the prospects (multiple quarterbacks) that were announced on NFL Network today, with a shot to jump up a round or two and for some, maybe just a pick or two, but again it could be a large difference in the sum of money.
