Rookie wide receivers set to play key role in Super Bowl race
Tennessee Titans – A.J. Brown
Emerging as perhaps the cream of the crop in terms of this year’s receiver class, A.J. Brown’s performances this season are a huge factor in the Titans being well-placed to secure a playoff berth.
Brown has 893 yards to his name in 2019, 447 of which have come in the last four games. The former Ole Miss star has topped 100 yards in three of those contests and scored four of his seven touchdowns in that spell, making devastating use of his size and speed and consistently gaining significant yardage after the catch. Only Mecole Hardman and Noah Fant have more averaged more YAC per reception than Brown’s 8.5, per NextGen Stats.
It is not yet guaranteed that Brown will be playing in January but, if he is, expect him to be closely guarded as defenses look to avoid being burned by a wideout who has all the tools to become a No. 1 receiver.
