Rookie wide receivers set to play key role in Super Bowl race
Seattle Seahawks – D.K. Metcalf
For all the criticism of his lack of versatility as a route runner and his supposed poor agility, D.K. Metcalf has put together an excellent rookie campaign.
Metcalf has proven an excellent fit for the Seahawks offense, providing Russell Wilson with an imposing downfield weapon with whom he has already developed a strong rapport.
Brown’s former Ole Miss teammate Metcalf has racked up 819 yards and six touchdowns on 52 catches, and the scary thing for opponents is that he is still only scratching the surface of his potential.
If he begins realizing more of it in the playoffs, it will be even tougher to stop a Seahawks offense that ranks fourth in efficiency by Football Outsiders DVOA.
