The USC Trojans and Iowa Hawkeyes are set to showdown tonight in the Holiday Bowl. Who are some 2020 NFL Draft prospects to watch?

The always consistent #16 Iowa Hawkeyes travel to (almost) always sunny San Diego and take on the not always consistent #22 University of Southern California Trojans in the San Diego County Credit Union Holiday Bowl (8 PM FS1). Who are some 2020 NFL Draft prospect to watch as the Hawkeyes and Trojans square off.

Can the Trojans get a win for their no longer embattled (for now) head coach Clay Helton or will Iowa do Iowa things to USC and come with the victory? The Hawkeyes come into the game with a 9-3 record while the Trojans have an 8-4 record, having just missed out on a Pac-12 South division title. Iowa missed a berth in the Big Ten championship game by virtue of their head to head loss to Wisconsin.

The Hawkeyes will have an additional motivational factor as they will be playing in the memory of legendary coach Hayden Fry. His coaching tree is arguably the best collection of coaching talent that was amassed in the history of college football. USC’s primary motivation is to get a win in their backyard to kick off 2020 in the right way.

Can the dormant Trojans wake up now that Clay Helton will be the presumptive head coach of the future and a battle tested true freshman quarterback at the controls?
