89 Christian Rector 6’4 270 EDGE RS Senior

Rector has the H/W/L (height /weight/length) that NFL teams will crave at the next level. The medical will be the key for him as he’s been banged up a bit this season, missing a couple of games. Short area burst is something to monitor. He’s been a run defense monster, however.

Projects primarily as a two-down run stopper with some potential for more as a pass rusher at the next level. He needs to go to a team that specializes in refining pass rush skillsets in order for him to stick to a roster. The medical will be something to keep an eye on.

Has mediocre production with a line of 16 tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack, and one interception.

21 Tyler Vaughns 6’2 190 WR RS Junior

Vaughns is the “other” draft eligible receiver for the Trojans. He’s developed into a deep ball threat in OC Graham Harrell‘s mishmash of an offensive philosophy. He has great ball skills and lateral quickness. Not the most physical of receivers when pressed so he can be knocked off his route easily by the defender. A skilled route runner that can get open in the short to intermediate passing game with regularity.

78 Jay Tufele 6’3 305 DL RS Sophomore

He’s been a force for the Trojans on the interior this season despite the defense falling apart around him. A versatile player in that he can play both inside at tackle and outside on the EDGE. Brute strength is the name of his game rather than finesse. I really like him on the inside in a four man front as the under tackle.

He has draft eligibility but has not stated if he will declare as of press time. Still needs more experience as he’s been starting for just two seasons. Has increased his production every year. Interesting as a pass rusher but the tools are there for more. Has the potential to be a bigger Jurrell Casey.
