Scouting Report

K’Von Wallace has been the most underrated 2020 NFL Draft prospect on the Clemson defense all year long. The versatility that he provides for that defense is what allows them to be as good as they are. He has put together very good film this year and earned himself an invite to the Senior Bowl down in Mobile, Alabama.

For now Wallace will get his chance to introduce the world to his game as one of the more versatile defenders in the country. He is effective because of instinctual he is no matter what level he plays in of the defense. Wallace shows very good intelligence to read keys and put himself in position to make plays no matter where he lines up.

He has good athleticism to be an integral piece in coverage whether it be as an underneath defender or playing in the back end as a half field safety. Wallace plays a tough brand of football that allows him to be a good defender in run support who isn’t afraid to stick his nose in the run game.

He’s a good tackler in space which allows him to be effective as a run support player from the nickel and from the safety position. He even shows the ability to be solid as a blitzer, knowing when to time his blitzes up so that he can come free. Not mention he has solid ball skills!

The fact Wallace isn’t getting enough attention as a prospect is disrespectful. There is a lot to like about the versatility in his game as he is just one of those pieces that you can tell makes the Clemson defense go.
