Center. Dustin Woodard. 53. player. Pick Analysis. 858. Memphis. Scouting Report

Dustin Woodard is arguably the most unheralded and underappreciated players on the Memphis roster. He is the leader of the offensive line after moving to center for the 2019 season. He has also been key to the offensive success the Tigers have enjoyed in recent years, especially in the run game.

Woodard is listed at 6-foot-2 and 290 pounds. He is a very durable offensive lineman having played nearly 90% of the snaps throughout his entire career. He is also very smart in the middle of the offensive line with the ability to make the protection calls pre-snap. Woodard uses his smarts and solid athleticism to gain good leverage against defenders on zone runs. He also displays solid play strength to get decent push on gap runs as well. He also utilizes his solid athleticism well to mirror in pass protection and protect the quarterback.

Woodard will be playing in his final game for the Tigers when he takes the field versus Penn State. He, and the rest of the offensive line, will have their toughest test of the season with the size and athleticism of the Nittany Lions defensive line. Woodard has been a part of some of the most successful offenses in Memphis school history, but he would definitely like to end his collegiate career with another good performance and help lead the Tigers to a historic 13th win in 2019.
