Scouting Report. 32. Pick Analysis. Offensive Tackle. Georgia. Andrew Thomas. 8. player

Protect the franchise is the old cliche when drafting the star left tackle after securing the quarterback of the future and it applies aptly hear for the Arizona Cardinals. Andrew Thomas at eight is a steal as he is the best offensive tackle prospect the league has seen in some time and firmly in this draft class.

Kyler Murray’s playstyle lends to the requirement of an athletic fortress on his blind side. With Thomas manning that position for just as long as Murray is quarterback, the Cardinals offense begins to take shape.

CeeDee Lamb. 9. Pick Analysis. Oklahoma. player. 52. Scouting Report. Wide Receiver

The Jacksonville Jaguars select the next best receiver at number nine with CeeDee Lamb. Lamb possesses a similar skill set to Jerry Jeudy with similar production to boot. Just as important, Lamb was the lifeblood of the Sooners offense that created the big plays in tight spots the Sooners needed. Look to his play in the Peach Bowl for evidence.

That’s the style player Jacksonville has been searching for since Allen Robinson left town. Regardless of who gets the nod at quarterback in 2020, both Nick Foles and Gardner Minshew will enjoy having Lamb as the number one threat in the offense from day one.

Don’t count out the possibility of the Jags racing for a quarterback after the firing of Doug Marrone and Tom Coughlin. New management could see a shiny new toy in Jalen Hurts or Jacob Eason that may be simply too enticing.
