Iowa. Tristan Wirfs. 10. Scouting Report. Offensive Tackle. player. 53. Pick Analysis

This will be an often mocked spot for Tristan Wirfs. Nearly all of Cleveland’s troubles began with the offensive line. While Wirfs is certainly no Joe Thomas, he is firmly the second-best tackle in the class and his value matches up with the 10 spot well.

Considering Andrew Thomas fell to eight in this mock, Cleveland may be wise to trade up for his services if possible or ensure they snag Wirfs. Leaving the 2020 Draft without one of these two players is a failure for the Browns.

11. player. 30. Laviska Shenault. Pick Analysis. Wide Receiver. Colorado. Scouting Report

More pressing needs will have to wait for the Jets here. Laviska Shenault fitting into this offense was too much to pass up. Though the team needs more help at left tackle and edge rusher, those positions don’t value well here. Still, New York’s receiving corp could still use a shot in the arm. Shenault is that shot. His versatility, grit, and playmaking ability will make him an instant success in the Jets offense.

The Jets may yet be a team to watch on draft day. The team recovered from Sam Darnold’s illness to finish 7-9 and miss out on the Andrew Thomas sweepstakes. Expect the front office to stay on the phone early to try to land the top tackle.
