Defensive Backs

32 DeMarkus Acy 6’0 197 CB Missouri (WEST)

He’s one of the bigger cornerbacks in the class that no one really talks about. A solid athlete that can tackle unlike certain other corners in this year’s class. Broke out as a junior with 30 tackles and three interceptions. As a senior, he missed several games due to injury so the numbers weren’t as good. Needs a big week.

24 Lavert Hill 5’11 181 CB Michigan (EAST)

He surprisingly stayed for a senior season while David Long left for the pros. Good choice to do so as he improved his numbers from the 2018 season. Hill was a leader for the Wolverines’ secondary. Athleticism is very good and can keep up with the fastest receivers.

37 Shyheim Carter 5’11 192 S Alabama (EAST)

Carter projects as a strong safety type for the next level due to his limited athletic profile. Fundamentally sound and generally in the right place but will get beat by faster offensive skill players. He comes in an inch shorter than his listed media guide measurements.

31 Myles Dorn 6’1 198 S North Carolina (EAST)

Dorn had a good season for the resurgent Tar Heels who won an ACC Coastal title. He has versatility as he has experience in both free safety and strong safety. Very fundamentally sound in run defense. Pass defense is instinctive as well. He looks to use the Shrine Game as an opportunity for growth.
