Packers upgrade pass catchers in 7-round 2020 NFL Draft mock
By Randy Gurzi
A 6-foot-1, 207-pound wideout, Quintez Cephus Is the final sixth-round pick for the Green Bay Packers. He entered the draft early despite never hitting 1,000-yards but he has great size and soft hands.
He was faced with some serious crimes in 2018 but was cleared, still teams will likely dig into his past before making him a draft selection. As for his play, there’s a spot for him in the NFL and the Packers have the kind of roster where he can get a lot of playing time early on in his career.
Green Bay adds a big defensive tackle in Iowa State’s Ray Lima. A three-year starter, Lima has a massive frame at 305-pounds and can help the Packers as they continue to look for players who can stop the run. That’s not the only way he helps though as Lima is capable of generating pressure from the interior, which is always a big plus.
With their final pick in this 2020 NFL Mock Draft, the Packers grab Notre Dame safety Jalen Elliott. Right now, Elliott joins a talented positional group with Adrian Amos and Darnell Savage locking things down.
Purely brought in for depth, Elliott can make a name for himself on special teams as he tries to develop into a player capable of backing up the two starting safeties.
