Kansas City Chiefs 7-Round Mock Draft post Super Bowl Win

2020 NFL Draft: Day-three
Kansas City needs help up front, outside of Frank Clark and Chirs Jones there isn’t a ton of talent along the defensive line for the Chiefs. Kansas City was the 7th worst team in the NFL against the run over the regular season giving up 128.2 yards-per-game over the course of the season. After acquiring Terrell Suggs, the Chiefs were able to do better against the run, only giving up 106.7 yards-per-game.
It’s unclear whether Suggs is going to return for another year or enter retirement, but either way, Kansas City needs to start thinking about a replacement, and Marlon Davidson is just that. Davidson is coming off a strong couple of days during the Senior Bowl (only practiced the first two days, got injured on the second) and won the weigh-in portion of the week coming in at 6’3″, 297 pounds.
Davidson played defensive end for Auburn, but he will likely may a switch to tackle in the NFL. He is an explosive player for his size and has intriguing potential and with Jones and Clark taking most of the attention of the offense, Davidson will have a chance to be disruptive early on in his career.
This pairing may just be one of the most exciting marriages in the 2020 NFL Draft if the Chiefs can actually come away with Antonio Gibson. Gibson is a swiss-army knife for the offense, he can play receiver or running back — finished his final season with 38 receptions and 33 carries — giving Andy Reid an exciting play-maker to work with (like he needs any more of them). Gibson works best in space and there is a ton of space to work with within the Chiefs offense.

As you can see from the video above not only does Gibson have the ability to make people miss, but he also has the long speed to take it the distance. It has yet to be determined what position he will play in the NFL, but if anyone can figure it out it’s Andy Reid. Gibson is still an extremely raw player, but in an offense, with playmakers already set in place and Reid calling the plays, this may just be the best place for Gibson if he hopes to succeed in the NFL.
