Round 3, Pick 89: Damien Lewis, IOL, LSU

The Vikings really struggled at times with the interior of their offensive line. They did spend a premium pick on Garrett Bradburry from North Carolina State, which gives them hope that the center position will be fine, but they could stand to improve some at guard. With that in mind, they use their third-round pick in this mock on Damien Lewis from LSU.

A 329-pounds, Lewis is a large man who is hard to move. His experience and level of play are impressive but some will worry about the length of his arms. They shouldn’t though because this kid can play.

Round 4, Pick 123: Collin Johnson, WR, Texas

Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs are both great wide receivers. However, the Vikings depth beyond them was contested in 2019 when Thielen missed time. Players such as Bisi Johnson ended up playing key roles and they even had to bring back Laquon Treadwell, their former first-round bust.

Thankfully, they do have some good options outside of the receiver spot in Dalvin Cook, Kyle Rudolph, and Irv Smith — who were No. 2-4 respectively in receptions this season for Minnesota. That doesn’t mean they’re set, which is why Collin Johnson is the name they call here.

Johnson is primarily a slot receiver which is odd to see when he stands 6-foot-6. He came to Texas with a lot of hype and never took that next step. Even with that being the case, he could be a reliable No. 3 receiver for the Vikings.
