Scouting Report

Another Senior Bowl standout, well on the one day he practiced before leaving with an injury, Auburn’s Marlon Davidson lands with the Texans here in the fifth round of this mock draft. After trading Jadeveon Clowney and with the health a big red flag with J.J. Watt, the Texans have to build depth off the edge of their defense.

Davidson finished his career with the Tigers with his most productive season yet. He finished the 2019 season with six and a half sacks and 11.5 tackles behind the line of scrimmage for the Auburn defense. Here he adds some versatility and depth to Houston’s defensive front with a mid-day three pick.

Scouting Report

After missing out on the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Texans are back on the board in the seventh and final round. Here they add UCLA tight end Devin Asiasi in order to fill in for veteran Darren Fells, who is coming off of the best year of his career, and add him to a room with Jordan Akins.

Asiasi is a sleeper pick as well, as this writer has him graded as a day-two selection. However, it would appear that the rest of the draft community has not caught on as he is still being labeled a late day-three pick by most outlets. The Texans add the gem here and could get a potential starter out of their seventh round pick.
