Tua could be the new face of the Dolphins

A big question I keep seeing from Dolphin fans is, “Well, what’s the plan if a team jumps the Dolphins for Tua”. The answer is quite simple. As many in the media have been saying for months; no team can realistically get in-front of Miami. Any offer to the Detroit Lions or Washington Redskins will be offered to Miami for a counter. The Dolphins have more capital than anyone, meaning, if the Dolphins want Tua, which they do, he will be “taking his talents to South Beach”.

What happens after getting the quarterback will determine how Tua’s career can play out. Miami needs to surround their young signal caller with talent. An obscene amount of cap space can help the Dolphins protect Tua by going after talented guards, Joe Thuney, from New England, or Brandon Scherff, from the Redskins.

A running game always helps young quarterbacks develop, and the Los Angeles Chargers have two hitting the open market in Melvin Gordon and Austin Ekeler. A defense giving him good field position and limiting opponents to punts and field goals would be great; there are defenders galore with premium players, like Seattle Seahawks’ Jadeveon Clowney, or Kansas City Chiefs’ Kendall Fuller.
