S Kyle Dugger, Lenoir-Rhyne

As previously mentioned when discussing Jeremy Chinn, Division II safety from Lenoir-Rhyne Kyle Dugger set the Senior Bowl on fire with his performance. At times Dugger looked like the best player in Alabama during the week and has firmly put himself in consideration to go top-40 in the 2020 NFL Draft.

The question now must be asked: just how high can Dugger’s stock fly? With the combine just a couple weeks away, Dugger has stated that he plans on running a sub-4.4 40 yard dash, and to hit over 40 inches on his vertical jump. Should Dugger post the eye popping numbers that he anticipates, there is real potential for him to become the first division II player since 1999 to land in the first round of the draft.

Kyle Dugger has been the underdog for his entire life, and he is ready for some respect to be put on his name as his stock continues to soar. An excellent tackler with great range, Dugger flashes versatility in coverage to play in both man coverage on tight ends and running backs out of the backfield, as well as in zone coverage over the top.

Kyle Dugger currently has a mid-second round grade on him from this writer, but should he test well, the man who has been slept on for so long is the gem of the 2020 NFL Draft, and could see his name up there with the likes of Grant Delpit and Xavier McKinney.

P.S. It’s already there.
