2020 NFL Draft: Jordan Love forgotten in loaded QB class
Jordan Love needs to win at the 2020 NFL Scouting Combine.
Jordan Love’s best case scenario is to show out at the combine. What Love needs to do is be this year’s “Looks great in shorts” guy. What that means is that he can go and throw on air, and show his natural arm talent in front of NFL scouts. Josh Allen did this in 2018. He went out and just threw absolute missiles down the sideline. Love needs to use this moment to separate himself. Having an otherworldly arm gives him the ability to make scouts say, “He has something you can’t teach”.
Love had a big win at the combine during weigh-ins. Other Quarterbacks had struggles with their height and hand size; Love came in with very nice measurables. It is good for him to check that component of the process as a win for himself.
Finally, Love has the ability to somewhat steal the show at this year’s NFL Scouting combine. Obviously, Love is going to be the star of the throwing session. He has the best arm and will almost certainly put together some eye popping throws. With Joe Burrow and Tua Tagovailoa not working out, all eyes will be on Love, Eason, and Herbert. Love needs to show what he’s capable of with the increased attention.
