Pick Analysis. Round 7. Pick 193. Darius Anderson. RB. Scouting Report. player. 872

At this point, the Redskins really just need to assume their running backs will miss time. They’ve been snake-bitten at the position which has to be frustrating. They have some incredible talent with Adrian Peterson playing for them the past two seasons. He’s not the future though as instead, that should fall on Derrius Guice and possibly Bryce Love.

The problem is, they both now have extensive injury histories. For that reason, Washington adds some depth here with Darius Anderson. A potential third-down back, Anderson showed an ability to get out on the edge and has the skills to be a good receiving back.

Of course, as a seventh-round pick, we’re looking for skills that can be honed. There are rarely ready-made starters at this point but Anderson could be a solid piece of a running back committee.

S. player. Pick Analysis. Evan Foster. 827. Scouting Report. Round 7. Pick 206

With their final pick in this 2020 NLF Draft, Washington gets another defensive back as they pick up Evan Foster from Syracuse. Well-built at 6-foot-0 and 215-pounds, Foster is a prototypical strong safety. He can bring the heat in run defense but does get a little overzealous at times.

Foster won’t offer a lot in coverage for the Redskins but there’s still a place for guys who can play a hybrid linebacker/safety role. He can also be an exciting special teams player, especially as a gunner.
