The Dallas Cowboys have a few glaring needs but if they could address those in free agency, it could free them up in the upcoming 2020 NFL Draft

Once again, the Dallas Cowboys fell short of the goal with Jason Garrett as their head coach. Quite possibly the least popular Dallas head coach of all-time, Garrett entered the 2019 campaign without any security as it was the last year of his contract. Mike McCarthy has entered the fold and looks to make his first major impact this offseason in free agency and the 2020 NFL Draft.

With that being the case, Garrett went out to prove he deserves a new deal. His work landed him a role as offensive coordinator with the hated New York Giants — meaning he couldn’t keep his job in Big D.

It was beyond frustrating for fans as the Cowboys had a roster capable of contending in the NFC but once again, they couldn’t score when it counted. Now Mike McCarthy has taken over but the roster he has is full of free agents which leads to many question. It also means there are a lot of holes to fill.

Dallas won’t be able to fill all of those in the 2020 NFL Draft, which means they have to utilize free agency as well. It won’t be easy to navigate due to the number of players they have to re-sign but there are still a few names out there for them to consider. Such as these three who would significantly alter their draft strategy, in a good way.
