Nick Coe, EDGE, Auburn

Nick Coe is a raw prospect that the Jaguars can target in the middle rounds if they choose to use their early picks on offensive playmakers. Coe has the requisite the length and power to make an impact on the interior and occasionally make plays on the edge. He needs to be developed by a good coaching staff, but has the tools to be a promising young player for a team that seems to be headed in the direction of a rebuild.

Coe has been asked to do a lot for the Tigers at Auburn. Some of those things required him to do things that aren’t part of his game, such as rushing from a two point stance or drop into coverage. Coe is a bull-rusher who has long term potential for this team.

Yetur Gross-Matos, EDGE, Penn State

Yetur Gross-Matos’ draft stock has fluctuated in the last few months. Once looked at as a sure fire first round pick, Gross-Matos may be available in the second round for Jacksonville. Should he be available, the Jaguars have to consider pairing him with Allen. Gross-Matos can line up in multiple spots along the defensive line and can serve as a chess piece on the front seven.

Gross-Matos can help replace Campbell in the run game and has real potential as a pass rusher. He is a physical specimen who compliments his length with speed and power. The Jaguars coaching staff has helped develop talented but raw players before such as Dante Fowler, Yannick Ngakoue, and Josh Allen. Gross-Matos could be next in a long line of Jaguar edge rushers.
