Brandon Aiyuk, Arizona State

A target the Texans will more than likely need to use their newly acquired second round pick on in order to obtain is Arizona State standout receiver Brandon Aiyuk. While Aiyuk was a bit of a late bloomer for the Sun Devils in 2019, he put together an excellent portfolio of tape and has boosted his stock to a borderline first round pick.

At the Reese’s Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama in January (an event Aiyuk was unable to participate in due to an injury) Jim Nagy stated that Aiyuk is getting more buzz than N’Keal Harry got a year ago. Harry was a first rounder a year ago, meaning that Aiyuk could find himself in that same consideration as well.

A burner, Aiyuk was unable to test at the combine due to his nagging injury, but NFL teams do not seem to be worried as he is still right under their noses. Averaging a whopping 18 yards per catch this season for the Sun Devils, Aiyuk finished his senior campaign with eight touchdowns and 1,192 yards receiving on 65 catches.

Aiyuk fits more in the skillset of Will Fuller than that of DeAndre Hopkins, but having two burners outside the numbers for Deshaun Watson to target could give the Texans a potent aerial attack.
