Before the Coronavirus shut down the entire world, the Miami Dolphins attempted to bring in 2020 NFL Draft hopeful Tua Tagovailoa for a visit.
The Miami Dolphins brought in a few 2020 NFL Draft prospects to their facility before it was closed down by COVID-19. The Miami Dolphins brought in Washington State quarterback Jordan Love and Ohio State running back J.K. Dobbins into their facility last week. Additionally, the Dolphins reportedly tried to meet with Alabama left-handed quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
Last week, the meeting was all set up but because of the COVID-19 situation, the NFL order all teams to close down their facilities, the Miami Dolphins had to close down their facility before meeting with Tua Tagovailoa, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported.
Miami has been linked with Tua Tagovailoa since last year when the whole “Tank for Tua” campaign came alive; they have three first-round picks in this year’s 2020 NFL Draft. The most notable pick for the Miami Dolphins is their fifth overall pick. The Miami Dolphins will be drafting a quarterback and they could be using their fifth overall pick on Tua or they might have to trade up to get Tua if the Dolphins really want him.
The Phins have been very interested in Tagovailoa since last season and now Tua getting clearance to resume workouts after last year’s hip injury. A report that I have heard but not confirmed is that Tagovailoa will be recording himself run and throw the ball to teams to show that he is a hundred percent ready to go Week 1 if needed.
The Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa’s career stats: 69.3 completion percentage, threw for 7,442 yards, 87 touchdowns, and only 11 interceptions over the course of three seasons, which turned out to be only 32 games. Tua also rushed for 340 yards and had nine rushing touchdowns.
